Basic Controls

Mouse

Left-click to select target. Left click again to use/talk/attack. In the
Command Screen, left-click selects the skill, you can then drop it with
left-click again into one of the shortcut boxes.

Right-click to walk/move. In the Command screen, right-click activates the
skill your cursor is on. In the character item screen, right-click : use
item.

Time and Date

How do you tell the time and date?

Look at the lower right hand of your interface. You'll see the steering wheel
with some weird numbers in the middle. The 6-Digits, tells you the date and
time.

First 4 numbers tells the Date, in Month / day format. the last 2 number shows
you the hours of the day, in a 24-hour clock format.

Experience & Skills

This game has many different types of experience levels.

These are ship skills : ( You need to train them on each ship )


Ship Maneuverability : Get exp by sailing & finding treasures. Your sail points depends on your maneuvrability.S

Ship Equipment : Get exp by fighting on sea , grappling & ramming. Your hull points depends of your military equiment.

Ship Structure : Get exp by trading . Your ship load depens on your structure.

Character skills :

Your character gets more hitpoints if your bare-handed skill goes up . ( Fighting with any weapon or your fists )

Your character gets more special points if any produce skills goes up and you spend your skillpoints at the skill tutor ( In any City ) at spirit skills .

Your character gets more load points if any produce skill goes up and you spend your skillpoints at mind skills .

All skills are capped at level 31 unless, you upgrade it once more at the
Skill tutor. Only 7 skills can be upgraded above level 31, so choose wisely.
Voyage is automatically a "Level 2"-type of skill, meaning, it can hit over
level 31. It is inclusive in the 7 skills limitation.


Skills of Skills (those smaller ones) are further divided into 2 types:

Active ( you need to spend sp for them ) and Passive ( you don't need to anything ) skills.

Little trick : If you want to train voyage but you don't have much money to spend on provisions ,
sail into a storm . You will gain voyage exp and loose no provisions but your hull , sail & sailorpoints will be damaged .

Equiping Skills

What's good of a skill if you don't equip it to use it?

By "equip", I mean putting the skill from your command screen (Ctrl-A)
into your shortcut box. Then you can use those Active skills in combat
or for smithing, sewing, potion-making, etc.

Using Skills

Use a skill when you have it! There are 3 ways:

1) Open your command screen(Ctrl-A), right click on the skill you want to use.
There should be 3 tabs in your command screen: "Interaction", "On Land",
"At Sea".
For land-based skill, it's self-explanatory, it is found in the "On Land"
tab. Likewise for sea-based skills.

2) Open your Character Screen (Ctrl-C), go to the "Skill" tab, then choose the
main skill type e.g. Sword-playing, Falchion-playing. Below it will appear
the active skills. Right-click to use them.

3) Equip all the skills you need into the shortcut bar. Just press the
corresponding function key on your keyboard.

Getting started

Download the game from the official site ( takes about an half hour ) and
install it . Then activate the game and create a character ; you should choose a white man or woman ;
not that I am a racist but then you will start in Athens ; otherwise in Alexandria .

If you've done this , start doing all quests from the tutors who you can find in the
port of Athens . When you have done this , do the other quests in Seville ( lvl 11 - 21 ) ,
Londen ( lvl 21 - 31 ) , Madeira ( lvl 31 - 41 ) , Cape town ( lvl 41 - 51 ) , etc.
This is not an thing you need to do !
You can just have fun with your friends , guildmembers , etc .
Earning Small Money

There're many ways to earn money. For newbies, cash is needed.
Only 3 ways where money comes very fast.

1) Be a runner/courier between the Docker and Trader. Take the "Carry"
task which they will assign you.

2) Wait for a new game day. When you see a red system message saying
about fashion trends, immediately Dash to the trader. Select the
"Market" option and then click "promulgate pop message + award".
Free money !

3) This is the most stupid one. Go to the tavern(not all are
available). Ask for "work" or "employment". Just stand in the tavern
for a few minutes then you can collect your pay from the Tavern
Master. Very time-wasting.

Other than these 3, are the usual things you find in most games:

Hunt/kill enemies for drops

Gather herbs/crops to sell

Fishing , timberfelling , mining , etc.

Banking/Storage Facilities

There are Banks and Warehouse in most ports.
Talk to the Bank Clerk and Warehouse Manager
to access your bank and storage.

There are a few difference between the two :

1) Banks account is international. Warehouse is only at that port.

2) Bank has no limit. Warehouse has limit 18 spaces and 500 weight limit.

3) Warehouse allows you to invest and expand its weight limit.

4) Your warehouse maybe transferred to another port for a fee.

5) You can buy a warehouse at other ports. Very expensive for new players ( 500.000 silver coins ) .

You can also deposit goods for a fee to another player's warehouse .

Quests

"Quest" and "Task" are the same when referred here.
There are 2 types of quests: Guild and Scenario quests .

Guild Quest:

These are quests that you choose to do from the guild masters.


Scenario Quest:

These are quests that are given by ordinary people.

Pets System

Since I don't buy anything from
the mall, I really can't " explore " into this area .
So thanks Igg for this piece for my guide.

Domestication ( Cacthing a pet ) :

1 ) Purchase pet catching items in the item mall ( food of a ..... favor )

2 ) Find monster that can be tamed (different from ordinary monsters in the game . You should see this sentence in the name : tame

3 ) After using catching items the monster will attack his captor.( Catcher )

4 ) Feedstuff affects the distance, time and successful rate of the catching.

5 ) When the time of catching up, it will be judged whether you succeed or
not if the catching have not been interrupted.

6 ) During the catching, other players cannot catch the same monster, but
are allowed to attack them.

7 ) During the catching, captors make other operation will lead to the failure
in the catching.

8 ) During the catching, if captor moves, the catching will fail.

9 ) During the catching, if the monster or captors die, catching fail.

10 ) After succeeding in catching, monsters will disappear and you will gain a pet whistle.

Nurturance of the Pet:

1 ) Satiation Degree : The loyalty of the pet will decrease if the Satiation
Degree is low, (To keep the pets satiation, you should feed it. Choose
the pet interface then select the Feed option. You should prepare some
particular pet food in advance. (The pet food can be bought from the
Alchemist in some cities) When the pet is cultivated, the satiation degree
will decrease by 1 point every minute. And every time the pet disappears,
the satiation degree will also decrease by 1 point.

2 ) Health degree : The pet's follow speed is different when the pet is in
different health condition. The healthier, the faster follow speed. If the
pet's healthy degree comes down to certain degree, the loyalty of the pet
will decrease and even the pet will die. The way to keep pet healthy is
choosing the pet interface, then select Heal option. But you should prepare
some peculiar pet-healing potion in advance. (The potions are available in
the item mall). When the pet is full (Satiation Degree 70 to 100) the health
degree will increase by 1 point in every 30 minutes) When the pet is
hungry (Satiation Degree 0 to 49), the health degree will cut down 1 points
in every 5 minutes.
3 ) Loyalty degree : The pet may run away when loyalty degree comes down to
certain degree, the pet would be considered as dying and should not be
summoned again. The way to keep pet's loyalty is to keep the satiation
of the pet at any time, and keep the pet in healthy condition. The loyalty
of the pet will increase by 1 point in every 30 minutes if it is in
satiation condition. (Satiation Degree 70 to 100) If the pet is hungry,
the loyalty of the pet will decrease by 1 point in every 5 minutes. If the
pet dies, the loyalty will decrease by 12 points. When the loyalty degree
is 0, the pet will run away and pet whistle disappears.

The function of the pet props :

1 ) Pet catching props :

Pitch on the pet you want to catch and then right-click the pet catching
prop.

System prompt: Don't move when you arrest the monster, otherwise your pet
catching would fail.

2 ) Pet whistle :

1 )When you use it, the pets will appear. There is a limit to the using times.

2 )By using it, you can call up the pet when you need it and call back
it when you don't need it.

3 )The times of using whistle would be reduced when you call up the pets
but not when you take back the pets as well as the pets disappear.

4 )Only effective for summoning one pet. If you've summoned one pet at the
moment, only when you take back it can you use the whistle to command
another one.

5 )Cool down time: After calling up the pet, you have to wait for the cool
down time before you re-use the whistle.

Ship rebuilding

You can look in the tabel to see what the requirments are to rebuild your ship.
There are 3 kinds of ships :

- Raider ( This is the fastest ship and can carry the most crewmembers ; good for grappling )
- Batlleship ( This is the ship for seafighting and has the most cannons )
- Merchant ( This is the ship with the most load ; excellent for trading )

If you want to rebuild a ship you need to have materials.
You can make them yourself ( timberfelling , mining , etc. or buy them from other players or the blacksmith.
Rebuilding your ship is possible at the shipyard boss.

Ship dying ( painting )

You can dye 2 parts of your ship :

1 ) Your hull : yellow ; black or red

2 ) Your sail : all kinds of coulors

If you want to dye your ship , you must go to the shipyard boss and ask him
how much dye & paint you need. ( Sail painting : you will need also canvas )
Then go to the alchemist and buy your paint & dye ; I prefer the alchemist of
Seville because he has all dye's.

This is expensive ! Dye your hull if your ship is lv 1 but don't dye your sail !
Your sail will not have the same colour if you rebuild your ship .

Canvas can be bought bye other players or can be found in drifters in high sea's

If you choose a profession you can see what the

Like an Royal Military Officer :

Best skills : guns and swordplay

Until lvl 15 you get points for land battle and after lvl 15
you get points random .

Each profession has his own armor and weapons .

The E-book is a log where you can look for all kind of help .
Where treasures are found , what goods you can buy in each city , etc.
This is very helpful when your stuck with something.
You can open the e-book with Ctrl-E or click on the book with an ?-mark .

Events

Events are special happenings .
There are events on Thanksgivingday , Christmas , Newyear , etc. but you also
have weekly events like hunting event on Saturday .
On the forum you can see when an event starts or expires.
There are also events on the forum ; my favorite is
the picture event. ( Send in pictures for Christmas , etc. )

Siege

A siege is a war . Players ( normally guilds ) attack a city for capturing it .
Attacking a city is really fun ; but of course there are defenders to .
The city has watchtowers with cannons and guards withing + the guild who is occupying the city .
